Multi Disciplinary Teams (MDT) Project

The initiation of this MDT project was driven in part by the July 2015 publication of the Independent Cancer Taskforce Achieving World Class Cancer Outcomes: A Strategy for England 2015-2020. Further to this, CRUK identified areas for focused improvement in the January 2017 report Meeting Patients’ Needs: improving the effectiveness of multidisciplinary team meetings in cancer services’. These documents highlighted the need to develop MDT working to meet the growing demands placed on teams.
